lorraine blanco is near pigeon point when their boat capsized, good morning, lorraine. >> we are -- >> reporter: we are just south of half-moon bay searching for two men loved ones are holding on to hope hoping they will find the fishermen alive. their 18-foot striper capsized and they were on a fishing trip with two other men who were able to swim to shore and call for help. one of the missing men left for san francisco early morning for a day of fishing with friends. >> he is a good brother, a good husband and good provider to the family. >> we will remain out here and we are told two men were taken to the hospital with hypothermia and we have a call into the coast guard and as

soon as we hear more information live we will bring it to you. lorraine blanco ktvu channel 2 morning news. an 84-year-old woman is accused of hitting a man at uc berkeley campus. they believe she may have been under the influence. it all happened at 840 at the intersection of hoist and spruce streets. that man has been taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition. they were shot yesterday during a wild freeway shooting on the peninsular. jeanine della vega is live in san carlos with details on the shootings and the crash that followed, jeanine? >> reporter: dave it was closed last night because of the shooting and police want to know who shot at a car in broad daylight. take a look at this, this dodge

charger it's filled with with bullet holes. somewhere between 92 and san mateo, somebody opened fire on this vehicle and it caused the charger to slam across lanes and into a construction fence along the freeway. two people were shot and they were taken to a local hospital. >> we have injured occupants and we don't know if it was more at this time and we don't know if it was an exchange of gunfire or if it was directed at the charger. >> investigators don't have a description of the other car. this was about 3:30 in the afternoon. now we know police were viewing victims last night. they are looking for an update

on their condition but have not heard back yet, jeanine della vega ktvu channel 2 morning news. it happened saturday morning in potter valley. family members identified the victims as an elderly man and his developmentally disabled son. a few children were rescued by neighbors and by standers. deborah is accused of stealing drugs. she stole cocaine from the lab in 2009. now she denies it and the allegations triggered an investigation and they threw out hundreds of cases based on that case. if convicted she could be sentenced to four years in prison. president barack obama may already have the electoral

votes needed to win a second term. 270 are required to win the presidency. if the election was held today, president barack obama would win at least 271 electoral votes. mitt romney, according to the study would win 206 electoral votes. now we wanted out, five weeks of campaigning remain along with three debates before election day. the court could make history and controversial cases could affect the affirmative action and gay marriages. both were sold in northern california. the $28 million jackpot will be split by the red and white

setting territory and we will have a look at some of the record highs coming up in about 5 minutes, here is sal. we are looking good getting up to the tunnel with no major problems and on 680 it is looking good from highway 4 and you will see some slowing in antioch, let's go back to dave and pam. allie rasmus is at the scene now and police are still out there searching for several suspects, allie. >> that's right, there are multiple gunmen and we get a sense of how many bullets were fired. >> reporter: off to our left, the bullet not only traveled to the complex but they traveled and shattered the glass on the opposite side of that

playground. two people were hurt in this shooting and a man and woman were transported with serious injuries and police are investigating exactly what led up to the shooting we don't know what prompted it or if they happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. four people approached this building and opened fire and it appears the bullets were flying in all directions because there were 44 bullet casings, not only in the home but some of the cars had their windows shattered and they found bullet casings as far away as the median. now if you have any information they are asked to look into this double shooting which seriously injured a man and woman at this apartment complex. allie rasmus, ktvu channel 2

morning news. police are investigating a fatal stabbing which happened during an out of control fight. it happened near model ray highway. as many as 30 people were out there fighting when a man was stabbed. that man was pronounced dead at the hospital. a woman is accused of killing nursing student michelle le. opening statements are said to get underway at 9:30. the two went to high cool together in san diego. prosecutors say she was jealous of michelle le and said she was responsible for a failed relationship with a former boyfriend. he is eligible for the death penalty if convicted. happening now the search

is still alive. >> we are told two of the men were taken to the hospital with hypothermia. the fog made visibility difficult but they are not sure what made that poet overturn. taliban is claiming responsibility he killed 14 people including nato troops. now international troops near a market in cost province, so far they have not released the nationalities but most of the troops in that province are americans. >> hundreds of protesters are gathering near a u.s. base and they are protesting the deployment of the aircraft. they landed this morning and many of the people in that area

car on 101 in san carlos yesterday afternoon. that car slammed into a construction fence along the side of the freeway. three people were injured and taken to the hospital. also right now, a search by the coast guard is continuing for two missing sailors off the san mateo coast. their boat capsized during a fishing trip yesterday morning. two men were able to make it to the shore yesterday morning. u.s. supreme court begins a new term one that could bring major rulings on affirmative actions. and the university of texas affirmative action program and even california's band on gay marriages will be considered. and arnold schwarzenegger was having an affair with

winter park florida. motorcycle riders were having breakfast inside when several suspects came in and started shooting. several people were taken into custody and several weapons have been recovered by police. they may have played a role in the death of an elderly woman. her body was found the affair oaks elementary school -- at fair oaks elementary school. she had been missing from the facility just a couple of hours earlier and it is not clear what happened but high temperatures may be a factor. governor jerry brown signed a law which means they came to the u.s. before they were 16 and are still younger than 30.
